The ENNIS TRACK A.C. 5 Mile race takes place on the 12th August at 11:00. The race is AAI approved and the course is accurately measured (Jones Counter). HQ for the race will be at Lees Road amenity park where timing chips/numbers and race packs can be collected.

There will be a short warm up jog from the gates of Lees Road at 10:45 to the start line at Drumcliffe.  The route will take participants on a looped run into the countryside before returning to the finish line at the gates of Lees Road. There will be technical tops for the first 100 entrants. There will be prizes for the first three men and ladies.  

There will also be a Juvenile/family 2K Race organised for 10:00, starting in Lees Rd..

All funds raised will go to Ennis Track A.C. to enable further development of athletes and to purchase equipment which will be made available upon request at Lees Road.

Event details and schedule

The event will take place on Saturday 12th August and will commence at 10:45 with a warm up jog to the start line from the main gates of Lees Road.  The race will start at 11:00 at Drumcliffe and finish at Lees Road.  The course will be stewarded with water stops along the way.  The roads will NOT be closed for this event but for the most part the course is along quiet country roads.

There will be no parking available at the start line in Drumcliffe so all participants are asked to park at Lees Road where the race will finish.

ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REMINDED THAT THE EVENT WILL START FROM THE MAIN GATES OF LEES ROAD AT 10:45  WITH A WARM UP JOG TO THE STARTING LINE AT DRUMCLIFFE WHERE THE RACE WILL START AT 11:00
