He will be joined by his brother Colm on accordion and by Pádraic O’Reilly on piano. Special guest is Hugh’s first cousin, Conor O’Loughlin from Corofin, who himself is a fine young concertina player.

An exciting double bill that features the Derek Hickey Quartet and Breaking Trad. The talented Derek Hickey Quartet is made up of Derek Hickey on accordion, Liam Flanagan on fiddle, singer Deirdre Scanlan and Ryan O’Donnell on bouzouki. Breaking Trad is a dynamic Irish band featuring Donal Murphy on accordion Niall Murphy on fiddle and Mike Galvin on guitar. Their music has been described as ‘dazzling’, ‘unorthodox and unique’, and ‘high octane’. This powerhouse band is reviving trad with a fresh and modern twist. A double bill not to be missed!
